Invisalign® & Six Month Smiles®
Quick and discreet ways to improve your smile Have you always wanted straighter teeth, but thought you’d have to suffer through a season of metal braces to do so? By utilizing the latest corrective technology by Invisalign and Six Month Smile, we are able to offer you two discreet, embarrassment-free options. Invisalign braces are clear acrylic trays that gradually reposition your teeth. We’ll take impressions of your teeth and create a customized corrective plan using the Invisalign software. Simply wear as directed, switching out the trays about every two weeks, and watch as your smile is transformed. Invisalign braces are invisible, removable, fast and affordable. Treatment averages 12 to 18 months, which is about half the time of traditional braces. Six Month Smile offers many of the same advantages of Invisalign, but uses slightly different technology, which is able to create results even more quickly. With Six Month Smile, you can correct a variety of alignment issues and create your dream smile in just six months! Six Month braces are clear or tooth-colored brackets and wires that use low force to straighten just the teeth that show when you smile. No significant changes are made to your bite, which allows…
TMJ Problems
TMD & Conservative Therapy
Relieving your discomfort simply and quickly TMD (temporomandibular jaw disorders) are often also called “TMJ Syndrome.” TMD is not one disorder, but a grouping of conditions that are often painful and affect the jaw joint and the muscles that control chewing. These disorders fall into three main categories. Myofascial pain – the most common, produces pain in the muscles that control jaw function as well as the neck and shoulder muscles Internal derangement of the join – which is a dislocated jaw or disc, or an injury to the condyle Degenerative joint disease – such as osteoarthritis or rheumatoid arthritis in the jaw joint Although the cause of TMD is not fully known, but fortunately the pain is usually not a signal of a more serious underlying condition. Generally the pain and discomfort associated with TMD is occasional and temporary. A very small percentage of people with TMD pain have long-term consequences. Because of the often fleeting nature of TMD, we choose a conservative approach to treatment whenever possible. This can often include self-care practices at home, such as eating soft foods, applying heat or ice packs, regulating stress and avoiding strenuous jaw movements. In office, we can create a…
Sleep Apnea Treatment
A night of deep, restorative sleep is within reach Sleep apnea is a common breathing disorder, often accompanied by snoring, which can disrupt your sleep. When breathing is paused or becomes shallow, you often move out of a deep sleep and into a light sleep. Fortunately, with a variety of sleep apnea oral appliances on the market, sleepless nights no longer have to be an issue. We currently offer the SomnoMed MAS, a custom-made device consisting of upper and lower dental plates with a unique patented fin-coupling component that allows normal mouth function. This comfortable, easy-to-use device is similar to an athletic mouth guard, and is designed to hold your lower jaw forward while you sleep. This tightens the muscles of the upper airway to allow easier breathing. The device is also very discreet, as it allows you to close your lips around it naturally.

Custom-Fit Mouthguards
Protecting your smile comfortably Many sports require their players to wear a mouth guard during all competitions and practices. We believe this is an essential step in safeguarding your smile, even when not required. Sports like basketball, baseball, gymnastics, volleyball, football and hockey all pose risks to your gum tissues as well as your teeth. A mouth guard can prevent serious injuries, such as concussions, cerebral hemorrhages, and jaw fractures. A properly fitted mouth protector is especially important for those who wear braces or have fixed bridge work. We offer customized solutions that offer a better fit – and therefore better protection – than anything store bought. Our customized mouth guards also offer protection for those who suffer from nighttime teeth grinding.
